Welcome to Sussex
Sussex is nestled in it's own little part of heaven on earth, so tranquil and peaceful, yet central to the three major cities of Southern New Brunswick.
Known as the Covered Bridge Capital of Atlantic Canada, it boasts 17 covered bridges, with the "Oldfield Bridge" being featured on the 1992 Canadian .25 cent piece representing New Brunswick.
A must see is our walking attraction of murals that depict a rich history of Central Kings Co. and New Brunswick as a whole. The professionally painted murals are found throughout the downtown area of Sussex on our outside building walls.
In September each year you can see the sky come alive with hot air balloons in all colors and shapes, as Sussex hosts it's annual Atlantic Balloon Fiesta, attracting many visitors from far and wide.
Sussex has been featured in two national magazine "Best Of" lists; Chateline "as one of the best small Canadian towns to live in and recently in Explore, Canada's Outdoor Magazine, "as one of Canada's best outdoor towns to live in."
Sussex has it all - plenty of activities, friendly residents, beautiful morning sunrises and magnificent sunsets, a great place to live, relax and retire.
